If you are a non-resident of Canada and the CRC has withheld taxes
from your royalty cheque, and you are entitled to receive them back,
you can apply to Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) for a refund. Simply
download the Application
for Refund of Non-Resident Tax Withheld. Mail it to us, so that
we can fill out the ‘Certificate of Tax Withheld’. We’ll
return it to you so that you can submit it to CRA. If you’re
eligible, you’ll receive your refund directly from them.
If you are
a non-resident of Canada with tax-exempt status in your home country,
you may be eligible for tax relief (partial or full) in Canada.
You can apply to Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) to determine if you
are eligible. Please refer to these CRA links for more on this topic,
and how to contact CRA directly.
